Mt. Candalaga2,250 m
Mt. Candalaga rises in Maragusan, Compostela Valley, home to the Mandaya and Mansaka peoples. The trail starts at Marangig Falls, a chain of 13 waterfalls, and the far side leads down to Tagbibinta Falls. Along the way grow orchids, ferns, mossy trees and Rafflesia mira, the country's largest rafflesia, though the mossy summit itself has no view. Local stories tell of enchanted beings, among them a ship called Donya Marangig.
