Had my own trial by fire on this one. Cawag Hexa was my first-ever major day hike and, without a doubt, the toughest climb I’ve tackled so far. Expect relentless ascents, scorching heat, sharp cogon grass that can leave little nasty cuts on your legs, and unexpected hidden crevices along the trail that can be pretty intimidating when you spot them. If there’s one thing I’d do differently next time, it would be to pack more trail food and bring more water. Definitely a challenging experience, but one that taught me a lot. ⛰️
