The waterproof inner membrane is guaranteed to keep out the rain for 2 hours; in the lab the shoes are immersed in water and folded to simulate actual hiking conditions. The outsole is OUTDOOR CONTACT©-certified to reduce the risk of slipping on smooth surfaces: lab tests set its friction coefficient, and a panel of testers checks it in the field over 500 km. A flexible EVA midsole absorbs shock. Laced, for a medium foot width, with a removable insole. Weighs 300 g per shoe in UK size 5.5. Upper of 80% polyester and 20% polyurethane, polyester lining, outsole of synthetic rubber and EVA. Care: remove dry mud with a hard brush, brush stains with warm water, air dry until completely dry, and spray a re-waterproofing solution to restore water-repellency. Do not wash or tumble dry. Store in a well-ventilated room away from light and moisture.
