Alternating layers of IXPE foam, thermal insulation and a reflective aluminium film trap body heat and block the cold coming up from the ground. The honeycomb foam springs back right after it's pressed down, and its thickness pads uneven ground. Unfolded, it measures 185 × 56 cm (72.8 × 22.0 in). It weighs about 480 g (16.9 oz) and folds to a 56 × 15 × 18 cm (22.0 × 5.9 × 7.1 in) bundle, its interlocking egg-crate cells keeping it compact and easy to strap to a backpack.
