A dayhike loop from Brgy. Cayabu that goes up before dawn to Mt. Cayabu, crosses to the Maynoba viewpoint and returns past the waterfalls. Cayabu is roughly one to two hours up and Maynoba two to two and a half hours, with about five to six hours for the whole loop at an easy pace.

Timetable

  1. Day 1

    1. 02:00Leave Manila for Antipolo (Cogeo Gate 2) between 2:00 and 3:00 AM.
    2. 03:15Take a jeep from Cogeo Gate 2 toward Sampaloc and the Batangasan junction between 3:15 and 4:00 AM.
    3. 04:15Take a tricycle from the junction to Brgy. Cayabu between 4:15 and 5:00 AM.
    4. 04:30Register at the Cayabu trailhead logbook (₱40), secure guides (₱500 per guide) and have breakfast, between 4:30 and 5:30 AM.
    5. 05:00Start trekking between 5:00 and 6:00 AM.
    6. 06:00Reach the summit of Mt. Cayabu between 6:00 and 7:00 AM.
    7. 07:30Traverse to the Maynoba viewpoint, reaching it between 7:30 and 8:00 AM.
    8. 08:30Trek back past the eight waterfalls, starting with Natatagong Paraiso Falls, with an optional dip, between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.
    9. 10:00Back at the Cayabu trailhead between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM; wash up.
    10. 10:30Ride a tricycle to the junction, then a jeep or van back toward Cubao, leaving between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM.
    11. 12:30Arrive back in Manila between 12:30 and 4:30 PM.
