Three days from Baguio, with an optional night bus from Cubao the evening before. The traverse goes over Bessang Pass, Sitio Biwak and the Ballay riverside camp to a summit camp, then down past the Kay-ang rock formation to Sitio Paang and Sitio Namita. Times are approximate.

  1. The night before

    1. 21:00Meet at the Victory Liner terminal in Cubao
    2. 22:00Bus to Baguio

  2. Day 1

    1. 04:00Arrive in Baguio
    2. 04:30Rented van to Cervantes
    3. 06:30Breakfast on the way
    4. 09:00Cervantes town: meet the guides, register with the police and get the climb permit
    5. 09:30On to Brgy. Malaya
    6. 10:00Register and a short briefing at Malaya
    7. 10:30Ride to the jump-off
    8. 11:00Bessang Pass jump-off; get ready
    9. 11:30Start trekking
    10. 13:00Sitio Biwak; lunch at the day-care centre
    11. 14:00Resume
    12. 15:00Viewdeck
    13. 15:30Steep descent through pine forest toward the river
    14. 16:30Ballay campsite by the river; set up camp
    15. 19:00Dinner

  3. Day 2

    1. 05:00Wake up and cook breakfast
    2. 08:00Break camp
    3. 09:00Start trekking
    4. 11:00Peak 1, in the pine forest
    5. 11:30Peak 2; lunch
    6. 13:00Resume into the mossy forest
    7. 14:30Peak 3; rest
    8. 14:40Steep final climb to the summit

  4. Day 3

    3. 08:00Start the descent through pine forest

    11. 17:30Gambang hanging bridge (Gambang Falls is an optional side trip)
