Mt. Danayag, in San Luis, Aurora, is a long dayhike climbed from Brgy. Ditumabo in Baler. The ascent is gradual, through overgrown forest with leeches, past Danayag Ridge and the Tanawan View Deck to a campsite at about 1,330 m, some 40 minutes below the summit. Done as a traverse, the way down is steep and narrow, with a river crossing.

No one has reported whether it’s open. Check with the local office before you go.
