Mt. Minandar

In Datu Odin Sinsuat

Height
446 m

Mt. Minandar rises above Barangay Kusiong in Datu Odin Sinsuat, about 30 minutes from Cotabato City, with open grassy slopes looking over Illana Bay; on a clear day the Grand Mosque of Cotabato shows from the summit. Its trail opened to the public in 2016 and passes through tropical forest, with a possible traverse down to Pinutulan Creek. It is an easy, beginner-friendly day hike of one to two hours to the top. The Datu Odin Sinsuat tourism office arranges local guides. Bring plenty of water and something for shade, as the open slopes get hot.

No one has reported whether it’s open. Check with the local office before you go.
