Mt. Panamao

Also called Tabuanan

In Kawayan

Height
1,056 m

Mt. Panamao is the third-highest mountain on Biliran Island, its summit in Kawayan. It is climbed from Sitio Biasong in Almeria, in the island's northeast, as an overnight hike: no permit is needed, but climbers sign the logbook at the jump-off. The first part is open trail in full sun, then rattan thickets higher up, and the trail turns muddy and slippery after rain. There is water a few minutes from the campsite.

No one has reported whether it’s open. Check with the local office before you go.
