Mt. Timpoong

In Mahinog

Height
1,630 m

Mt. Timpoong is the highest mountain on Camiguin Island, part of the Mounts Timpoong Hibok-Hibok Natural Monument. The usual way up is from the north, from a trailhead at around 700 m at Sitio Itum, gaining about 1,100 m in three to six hours through leech-infested jungle to a summit with almost no view. A DENR permit from the Mambajao office and a local guide are required.

No one has reported whether it’s open. Check with the local office before you go.
