Fees and permits
Needs a park entry permit and a mountain entry permit (the mountain entry permit is free). Day hikes apply 5 days to 2 months ahead, groups of 1 to 12, at most 60 people a day. Paiyun Lodge costs NT$480 per person per night, and foreigners can apply for its lottery from 35 days to 4 months ahead. The shuttle from the Paiyun Mountaineering Center to the trailhead is NT$150 per person.
