Mt. Lab

In City of Dapitan

Height
320 m

Mt. Lab is a small natural park of rolling, grassy hills in Barangay Sto. Niño, Dapitan City, with a view over Dakak Park and Beach Resort. From the Sto. Niño highway jump-off, an easy out-and-back trail over gentle slopes reaches the top in 30 to 45 minutes; it turns slippery in the rain, when the path carries run-off. The trail has little signage, so first-timers do best with someone who knows it. The park allows up to 50 hikers at a time, aged 18 to 65, with a small entrance fee paid in cash.

Closed to hikers. The trail to Mt. Lab was reported closed indefinitely in April 2025, after an incident there; no official reopening notice yet. (as of Oct 25)
