Fees and permits

Sagarmatha National Park entry for foreigners (SAARC nationals pay NPR 1,500), per the Nepal Tourism Board. The Khumbu Pasang Lhamu local permit is NPR 3,000 for non-SAARC visitors from July 2024 (it was NPR 2,000 before), and a TIMS card of NPR 2,000 is listed by the Tourism Board. The Khumbu municipality has said solo trekkers may go without a guide, which conflicts with the Tourism Board's listing.
